I like 'em "BIG"!
I've not used the knuckle headers. Mostly I use the pre bent fit to application type. Unfortunately on the Pilot Edge, they would not work. Wrong angle. As for prone to breakage, according to 3w, not so much. But I can't see how they could be too strong as thin as they are. But talk about a bee-otch to bend. They are very difficult. I bolt them to a 2 foot square board as seen in the photo. Then using a broom stick inserted to the proper depth of the desired bend, grab hold and reef on the stick. As for the extra clamps? The stainless steel headers are very smooth. Hence normal clamps are not enough to seal them. They leak. So a hose clamp comes in handy for that purpose.
Hope that answers your questions and is helpful to you. Honestly, if I could have used the original headers I purchased I would have been pleased.

Thanks for that I have always used small stock mufflers or pitts type mufflers. Just installed my first canister and it has been a learning experience, so just trying pick up as much as I can. The field I fly at is not to sensitive about noise but it will in time so I am just trying to be one step ahead and being a little quitter is always better. Those corrugations can not be that thin it takes that amount of effort to bend it thanks for the help, again.

Well it's not red but it is GOLD! Got to digging around and found an old Futaba pull pull wheel that I used to use on my old school 120 size glow planes. Very hard aluminum. Felt like I was tapping steel when installing it to the carbon arm. Worked perfect :). Nice quiet and smooth operation .

Waiting on an RTL fastener order to show up so I can get it bolted to the air frame.

Funny thing here....The order did show up but not at my door. Showed up at my old door which I have not lived at for over 7 years. When I told RTL they immediately got a new order processed and coming to my new old door o_O.

The last pic shows how the arm on the tray is the same width size as the horn that gets epoxied to the rudder.

I found this post to be well thought out, perfectly organized, supremely executed, vitally informative, extremely helpful and most of all, cheerfully enjoyable to read.

But you just had to go say the "G" word didn't you Kelly.

Hee hee.... nothin' but love for ya bro.

:( Sorry Brother. Please forgive me. But my addiction started when Nitro RULED! :please-ban: I keep a gallon of 30cent just to smell it's sweetness every now and then :D.

I was waiting for an order from Chief Aircraft once and checked the tracking and it said "Delivered" well, not to me. Turns out it went to the local Air Force Base for some reason. What really sucked was I had waited a long time for it and had to wait all over again.
