Got the wing all cleaned up from bagging and now gluing the wing tips and leading edges on, just have wait 2 hours and them go at it again. Still need to get it all done before the good weather arrives. Still a lot to do.

Making progress wire slot cut into the wing and the pockets cut out of the wing and the servo boxes made and installed. Once again have to wait for 2 hours for the glue to cure. Then I can lay the wires in and closeup the slot and then sand everything flush. Next cut out the ailerons finish them off.

Last week while the wife and little girl where visiting family in Utah I wrapped up some of the tedious bits of the build that she didn't have the patience for. She was very excited to see it all framed up and we discussed covering. Fully expected her to want to go with the pink and purple covering I have but she chose this. Bottom of the wing will be the camo covering and top will be red and blue with white stripes and stars. Fuse will be blue and tail I think will be red. Hopefully we get started on covering this afternoon.

Long day In my friends shop. First trying to get a OS 40 sf going. Well it took a while but got it running after a lot fiddling, one thing I learnt is that GP ignition works for an OS engine. Os ignition had spark but wouldn’t run the engine but will run with a new GP ignition so one engine up and running for the season.

The second engine a Saito 3 cylinder 90cc four stroke engine. Did everything I could think off but no luck. Checked timing, new fuel, installed new plugs, check the valves, new battery, removed all switches and connected everything directly. But nothing. Primed it till fuel ran out the exhaust. Removed plugs cleaned them up and dried them out with a torch. Still nothing. Stumped not even a kick. Ok this is when I was completely stumped. open the throttle about 20% put my finger over the carburetor and ran engine with the electric start with my finger on the carburetor it would kick ever so slightly remove my finger and it would stop kicking. All the while fuel is running out of the exhaust. After 3 hours I walked away to think about it, still can’t make sense of it all.
Any suggestions

The wing is done just have to buy 2 servos and lay the wiring into the slot and fill it in with a strip of balsa. Just have make a fuselage and I will have a plane. Not sure when i will work on it maybe during the summer or build the fuselage next winter.
I am ready to go flying do not want to build anymore, just fly and do maintenance.

Have you tested the plugs by putting them in the caps, and moving a magnet over the pickup sensor? Sounds like you've got fuel, Could the kick be from just having too much fuel in the chamber? They talk about a choke bar where the slow speed needle is, could this not be set right?

Very detailed hand starting method in the manual:

3. Method of choke (No need when you use starter)
●In advance, make a thin hole on the cowling to insert the choke bar / slow needle adjustment bar.
●During choking, be sure to turn off the switch of the ignition system.
●As shown in the fig, pass the choke bar (with M3.5 thread on its tip) through the hole on the cowling. Then turn the bar to insert into the M3.5 internal thread at the center of the throttle lever.
●Pull the choke bar and fix it with a clip or clamp with full throttle as shown in the fig so that it may not go back to the previous position.
●Grasp the prop by hand and turn it in the direction of normal operation (CCW) for several times, until the carburetor generates hissing-like sound. After hearing this sound for about 5 times, quickly flick the prop approximately 10 times.
●After that, remove the choke bar. After that, power on the ignition system and flick the prop quickly to start the engine. If the engine doesn't start, repeat the choking procedure.

I've been putting together a foamy with my new radio master pocket radio on ELRS, neat radio... definitely not what I'm used to (Futaba). CH5 on ELRS was designed for a drone arming switch, so for the life of me I did not understand why I couldn't make CH5 my aileron 2 channel.... and why it would act like it was going full throws even when setup in the radio correctly. I had to reprogram the receiver through Wi-Fi. I never would have thought that little receiver could transmit Wi-Fi... amazing. Been raining buckets here, but it's all ready for a maiden flight.
