It became obvious in short order that the hole on the backside of the fairing was going to be a problem, matter of fact I broke out the second hole while drilling. A second pair with Kevlar reinforcement was laid up, Kevlar is amazing, can't say here what it reminds me of. It is a pain to work with, yoy drill a hole through it and end up with a hole filled with fuss, try to sand it and make more fuss. Hardening the fuss with CA or epoxy does help.
I have been hauling the fuselage around in the back of my van since last month's IFC club meeting. Out of work on the wings so it's back on the bench, laid out the wing tube hole today. I was hoping the new wing tube will be here today but the USPS seems to have taken a liking to it. Left St Louis on the 14th and still traveling to next destination! Need to mount the wings before moving forward.
