What Cam software you using?

Full disclosure, I work for Autodesk. Their HSM Works CAD programs are inexpensive, powerful, and easy to use.

I use fusion 360 but not good enough to use the built in cam.

Fusion 360 gives you the tool (which sounds like you knew). All software systems that do these types of things seem hard at first...a little time in the saddle and you'll be sailing along in no time.

No CAM software, but I've been messing with TurboCAD quite a lot lately. It's been a learning experience.;)

Hi @Wacobipe can you help. Proficient in 2D AutoCAD. But now nothing about 3D autocad. Is there a book or something that will walk me through one assembly of a machined part from A to Z. Once I get through it once then i will be able to work my way up the ladder. Thanks.

For 2D AutocadLT would be much more intuitive. I've used about everything out there but been on Autocad for 25 years now and can draw as fast as I think it. Very easy to customize the interface and create custom buttons etc.

For CAM and the CNC's we use enroute but I only use it to generate code and make custom tools.

I have been messing with 3D a tad. It is pretty cool once you get something going.

A bunch of free training info here:

CAD\CAM can be a bit of a challenge t wrap you head around....get the basics and just dive in. The first attempt will be a struggle but keep with it and it'll come quickly.
