This is probably my biggest pet peeve in the world. I have to stock so many different batteries and adapters it drives me nuts. At least the Venom packs come with multiple connectors. That’s a huge help in the shop.
For the life of me I’ll never figure out how we managed to standardize the AC Plug & Outlets in our homes over 100 years ago. But we still can’t figure out a common system for our toys.

When I was looking at it in your post I thought that would be cool to have here at home for those moments I'd just like to go outside and get in a quick flight. No pulling out a big plane, fueling, defueling etc. etc. so I ordered one of the Tundras. Funny thing was, right after I asked where you got it it popped in one of the adds at the bottom of the page.

If I may suggest a plane the planes you are are looking at great and good planes do not get me wrong but I have suggestion and I have one.

Great plane best ARF I have ever bought and will always own one. Very well built and is the best small flying plane. If you get one get everything plane, motor, ESC, propeller and one set of batteries

I hit the like but nope, not for me. For what I wanted I have thought about an electric Cub for a bit. When I saw the Tundra it just fit the bill so I ordered it. Just something slow and lazy that I can walk out to the shop, sit at the end of the cover and putz around with.

Good choice on the tundra. I have one and love it. Couple build notes. Replace the stock springs on the landing gear with something stronger. After a dozen flights mine was squatting hard and I didn’t have hard landings.
Next get rid of the connectors for the wings. I built two one for me and one for a buddy. Did both stock. When I started setting his up one aileron stopped working and it was in the connector it failed. This has been a common issue with it. Getting rid of them also allowed me to have ailerons on two channels and mix them with flaps when I want super slow flight.
Last get rid of the stock prop it performs horrible. If you want to do a lot of really slow flying then go with an APC 13x6.5 Electric prop. Don’t do a lot of constant wide open throttle though as it’s pushing the limits of the stock esc. If you plan to be more sporty with it and do a lot of aerobatics then go with an APC 12x6 Electric prop. In either combo I’m getting anywhere from 6-8 minute flights depending on how hard I’m in the throttle.
Also fly it with floats as soon as possible. I think it flys even better with them on.

One of the guys at the field showed up one day with some new 6S 5000 packs. I don't remember what company they were from. They were pre-wired with EC5 connectors, but instead of the contacts being both female on the battery, they were wired with one male and one female. I've been debating to get the tundra or the fms PA18.... still unsure.
I like the XT60's ok. Deans/T-Connectors were my go to, it's possible if your not careful to warp the flat connector during soldering ( a heat sink helps) but if it doesn't mate flush it will not make a very good connection which is why I've started using bullet connector type plugs. Although I like the EC3/5 I prefer the XT90S with the spark resistor for my larger packs, and starting to use the XT60 for the smaller packs.
