I didn't get much done today but I did install my cowl ring and get a test fit on the cowl. Looks like the cowl is set up for 3 degrees of thrust so I either need to move my engine over just a hair or add 1/2 degree of thrust to it.
ZDZ will fit in there really nicely though and the vents on top will really "suck" extra air off the top of the heads. Also looks like I will have plenty of ground clearance:198: I will install the J&A mufflers and cut the cowl after I adjust the engine slightly but it looks like they will fit perfectly as well.
The bolts I had on hand are 1/2" too short so I will have fender washers on the inside of the firewall. I cut the firewall to fit the back of the engine and will bolt in the carburetor after installing the engine. Will work nicely with a minimal sized hole in the FW.
