Joe, I've found with my planes that when I use too much expo the difference between the center and endpoints is so drastic that it's hard to be precise enough to not over correct. Too little expo and I'm having trouble with my planes being twitchy. My question is how do you know what amount of expo is correct and...

Hi Joe!

To what extent do you use dual rates (or however many rates you have on your radio)? I used it in the beginning and kept switching depending on what I was trying to do, but found it utterly confusing. Now I just have full 3D rates all the time and a boatload of expo.

What do you think? Is it worth the...

No offense to anyone trying to be helpful by answering questions in this forum, but it is called "Ask Joe Smith" for a reason. Give it some time and let Joe answer the questions, please. And no, he didn't put me up to this.

Hey joe I could use some input on this. Whenever I attept to do rolling circles, I get it for 1-3 rolls and then the plane ether goes up and stalls, or dives toward the ground. Do you know what might be causing this? My guess is timing but I'm thinking I could be overcontrolling as well. Thanks!

As the title says; my hovering sucks. I see guys who make it look totally effortless, their control surfaces hardly move, I'm fighting my models like they are wild animals.. it's frustrating:(

Other than 'pratice practice practice'.. do you have any tips?

This question is geared more toward all of the Smiths and anyone else who would like to voice a response but I figured that Joe and Jim would have some knowledge and insight into it so it is appropriate to ask here.

What does it take to have a successful fly-in event at your club and how far will people...

I bought an 89 slick with some damage to the wings and side of fuse from an unfortunate introduction to a deer feeder during a landing from what i was told. It was fairly new at the time. Took me several months of working on it a little at the time with supervision from some of my more experienced builder buddies....

I'm new to this site and noticed there wasn't a thread for the little 41 inch Edge.
This is such a wonderful little plane and is a great balsa 3d trainer.
She really takes a hard harrier landing.
