This airplane uses two aileron servos in each wing, one elevator servo in each side and two rudder servos. The PowerBox has servo matching, so going into it for flight surface controls you only have right and left aileron, right and left elevator and rudder. The PowerBox splits each aileron and the rudder input into matchable outputs. So the five in and outs on the Cortex are all you need.

The matching on the PowerBox is easy to use, it has a feature that locks the stick input for you to max throw in either direction so you have both hands free to push buttons and get the travel of the slave servo to where you can slide the ball link bolt in freely. I used an amp meter to fine tune it after that.
Thanks for the reply it all makes sense now I have never worked with a power box. Only needing five now makes sense. Because going to a 12 channel spectrum receiver you need to "Y" harness which I do nor like to do thanks for that.

Now that my plane is ready for action I was able to get back to a build I did (1.20 electric to 26cc gas conversion 70" Edge) for a friend and correct a tail heavy issue. Mounted the two 1350ma 2S Lipos as far forward as I could get them. Worked perfectly and the plane balances on the neutral spot just aft of the leading edge of the wing tube.

In the shop today it is raining again. Hope get some work done on the Funtana 125. Got all the elevators, ailerons and the rudder hinged. Working on a tank mount and a mount for the Cortex and receiver. All the servos are on order hope see those with in the next week or so just depends on customs which can take as much as 2 weeks at times. Also need to build a set of side force generators for the wing tips. (Hope I used the correct word for that part ). Can not find any information on how to size them if someone knows please let me know.

Yep. LE to TE complete. Here is a pic of one I will be using with my 78" Extra 330. About 6.5"W x 6"L X 3/16" thick. Something a bit smaller or the same size should do fine on your Funtana.

Yesterday evening I got my buddies 70" Edge completed and tuned the RCGF 26 w/ 18x6 VV wood prop. No numbers but I held the plane and WOW! mission accomplished! At 11pounds 2 ounces (full 14oz tank. 10 pounds 6 ounces dry.) it feels almost foamy like:fist_pump:.

Good days in the shop don't necessarily mean a good day at the field :face-palm:. Me and my buddy went to fly his Edge and my Extra yesterday evening and boy what a futile endeavor :gnashing:. Nothing was crashed :) but nothing made it off the ground :(. Think I will get :cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers: and stare at my dog in my shop today :blank:.

Nothing all that bad really but the heat and humidity made even the simple most arduous. Both planes could have got in the air but we did not let the heat / humidity fry and suffocate our brains enough to do something stupid like fly a plane with a known issue!

One of the two Lipo packs on the Edge would not charge to full capacity (New pack but I did not check it or charge it before tuning the engine :face-palm:) and got down to 5% so I think it is DONE. My BAD. The Extra's DL50 ran awesome in the driveway but went to fly it and the same issue popped up on the ground as it did in the air when I maiden a month ago. Engine leans excessively at 20/25% throttle and loses power but almost picks back up immediately at about 30/40% throttle. It actually died when I was taxing around checking prior to roll out for lift off. Sounds like an air leak but I suspect the check valve just before the HS jet nozzle to be faulty or something keeping it from properly seating at all throttle positions. There was a whole bunch of metal shavings, dirt particles and crud when I dismantled it. I may have damaged the check valve my self when I shot carb cleaner in to the HS jet but I doubt it because the problem in performance was pre-existing. Going to put a new carb on it but man I just need to throw down and get a DA50 and be DONE. Getting tired of not being able to post in that other thread ya know :yesss:.

We've all had those days and they do suck. I hope you can get everything squared away and get out there soon.
