Got hit from behind today and shoved into another vehicle that then got shoved into another one itself. Four vehicles total. Only needs a new front and rear bumper and their mounting brackets but between that and labor it would prolly be what insurance says the truck is worth which isn’t much.

I don't know what it's like where you live, but here in Illinois you can buy back a total from the insurance company as long as it's at least 7 years old.

Yeah I can buy it back but it’s all in what they want for it. Plus that meens I would have to have a salvage title on it. I’m hoping the insurance guy will listen when I say look it needs two new bumpers. Give me what bumpers are worth and I will buy and install them myself.

I’m fine. Little sore today especially my knee where it smacked the dashboard.

Bottom line are you ok and the family if they were with you, the truck can always be fixed.

Not much. My experience with Pilot brands has not been pleasant, craftsmanship was nothing like Extreme Flight or AJ Aircrafts.

I've had excellent luck with Pilot airplanes, as had my flying buddy Tony, but you never know until there out there.

In Illinois, a buy back from the insurance company does not get a salvage title. The title never leaves your possession.

You could ask for what they call a contracted price to repair it. Basically you say I'll fix it for a set price so there is no supplements. They are more likely not to total if that happens.
