@acerc have you looked at Byrne’s little disc sander. There is very little info around on the unit. The problem I think is that it is not variable speed if it was I would have already had one.

I have the Brynes sander, very smooth and precise. I use a bigger disk/ belt sander to get started but often switch to finish up a piece.
Slow any tool down with a cheap speed controller.

I am interested do you have one and can you give some info on the unit please. A friend has big ass sander but he has a variable speed on it and had the opportunity to play with it. Loved it it really makes sanding soft balsa very easy and controlled.

Yes, I have the Brynes disk sander. 6" disk, sanding table has many premade angle slots, just like the slide T. Very smooth and quiet, I sometimes forget to turn it off it's so quiet. I will post a few pictures.
