@acerc have you looked at Byrne’s little disc sander. There is very little info around on the unit. The problem I think is that it is not variable speed if it was I would have already had one.
Could you tell me why a little.I have the thickness sander not one of my better buys.
Where would one go about getting something like that?I have the Brynes sander, very smooth and precise. I use a bigger disk/ belt sander to get started but often switch to finish up a piece.
Slow any tool down with a cheap speed controller.

I am interested do you have one and can you give some info on the unit please. A friend has big ass sander but he has a variable speed on it and had the opportunity to play with it. Loved it it really makes sanding soft balsa very easy and controlled.I have the Brynes sander, very smooth and precise.
