Some new paint, yellow, is on it's way and currently working with B&E Graphics for all the new logos. The next time around will be better!

Come on guys, give your opinion. Every Pitts style bipe I have had started out flying like it was tail heavy even when balanced. So I am considering doing the maiden as is.
I would be a little afraid to go too nose heavy. Nose heavy airplanes can land like lead missiles.

It has been so long since I had one that nose heavy do not really remember how they were. I added 12oz just behind the cockpit so first chance I get I'll put it up. Most likely will be off the pasture of which I am not a fan of doing first flights from but not looking like much of a choice right now.

What do you guys think???
It is slightly nose heavy as seen in the first pic. The second is with 6oz on the tail then the third with 12oz. What ya'll say, maiden as is or add some weight?
I guess shoving everything possible toward the nose was a bit to much. But it should work out for the best when I strip it a do a Stits covering and paint job.
Personally I would go with 12 oz one do not like flying nose heavy planes and when the tank is filled it will be nose heavy. And as the fuel burns off and it starts to get twitchy you can land and make corrections.

I added 12oz just behind the cockpit so it should be ok. As for fuel I put the tank centered on the cg so it don't have any affect whether full or empty.

That’s good we cannot always get on the CG. From the pictures you will still be ok as I see it.

The maiden has been completed. I was as nervous as I have ever been, don't know why, but it was a very uneventful maiden. I don't think I have ever had a maiden go so smoothly. Once it got air born with a little speed it only took 3 clicks right and 4 clicks up for straight and level flight which was completed on the second fight as I could not find the trims with my thumbs bouncing on the radio.
Video of the maiden will be posted as soon as it downloads and for my connection that may be hours.
