Squeaked in a couple flights before the rain and darkness hit. Timer set to 14min now. Two flights brought both packs down to 60% capacity. I think 30min of flight time before a recharge sounds safe (2x 2550s). Haven’t had to adjust my rates. Plane flies great, might move the batteries aft.

Apparently I was a little hard on the plane doing 3D turns, blenders, and pop tops because my fuel dot ejected.

That poly line sticks so hard to the fuel dot, I may switch to Tygon to make it slip off easier, plus it may make a tighter connection within the receptacle.

If I may suggest an easy fix. I have had a couple of fuel dot that were impossible to remove. So what I did is add a couple of inches of silicone fuel tube to the end it makes removing the fuel dot off and back on a lot easier. I know it does not last but I just change every couple of months and it works great.

Not a bad idea. I’ve been sticking with tygon, just had a wild hair to use the matching blue line that came with the plane. The tygon is thicker too, which might help me here too.

I forgot to mention that it was 31F out when I was flying.... hand warmers and a big poofy jacket. Oct was not a good flying month, and November had been rainy and windy. I just got a dusting of snow today.

Hello folks, new member here (joined today).
Congrats on the great and detailed build thread, Nick.
I have just ordered one of these planes, tiger scheme, should be here next week. I'll be running it electric on 14S 5000mAh with a GA6000 rewound to 164kV and a electric 23x12 prop.
I spoke with a friend and competition level pilot and he told me Skywing planes tend to fly faster and not do the low stuff as well as EF due to the smaller wing area and thinner airfoil, he does like the plane though, just not his flying style. What is the opinion of ARS owners?
