That's just mean.…..

HA HA HA HA HA. If I only knew now what I posted then. I meant POST deleted!!!! I'll be praying for you and your wife buddy. My wife is a nurse in Critical Care, and I'm a line aircraft mechanic for Alaska, with a 5mo old... stressful times indeed.

Just checked it and it look's like because of the dampness (had to wet the dowel) it is going to be an overnighter.

And for some unsettling news. The wife works in healthcare and the facility she works at had a patient get tested today for the Covid but will take five days to get the results. She developed a cough with congestion yesterday but has been there a week and another week for the results. So if it turns out to be the virus everyone there has been exposed for at least a week or longer. Joy, joy...
Robert,
Praying for both you and your wife, as well as for all Americans no matter their race, creed, politics......we need to fight this as ONE NATION, INDIVISIBLE!

I appreciate the good will guys but for right now there are about 15K people (just in the US) that need those prayers far more so send some their way on my behalf.

Not a very productive day. I did get the top l/e sheeting glued in place and took to long to cure up, water in wood seems to have that effect. Of course afterwards I remembered I switched to ironing sheeting on because of this. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. Sorry no pics, just plain forgot as I got filling time on the tractor doing some grading.

Robert, did you post a description of this method in your original red eagle thread....if so I'll go search it?
Bill
Probably did but it is a very simple method. Mark the sheeting for where contact will be made, brush a thin coat of wood glue to each surface, let dry to the touch, wet outer surface of sheeting for ease of bending and iron it in place. The heat activates the wood glue and the water aids not only in softening the balsa but steaming it in place.

I’ll have to give this method a try sometime. Thanks for the info.

When I went outside this morning it was a beautiful day so I jumped on the tractor and finished up the grading on the back fence line and pond. About an hour ago I went in the shop and glued the other side of the l/e sheeting on. Being it was latter in the day and I am kind of tired I did it the same way and it can set overnight.
This work outside in the mornings and tinker on the build in the afternoons is the way it will go for a bit, just to nice of weather to not get things outside done.
Besides, I was not in any hurry anyway as I could not pull everything out until after May. But with Mr. Tiano postponing Top Gun until October I can pull everything when needed and keep on going. At a leisurely pace that is but with plenty of time before Oct.

I like this little chop saw but it is a bit small and underpowered therefore I am thinking of getting one of the Proxxon chop saws. Does anyone have one or any experience with one and if so how do or did you like it?
