EG 100cc Slick 540 from Aztech Aeromodels

Thanks..... just when I thought I could stop kicking myself. Yes the more I thought about it later (too late by then), that's exactly what it was....

    HK Slick 540 30cc

Managed a bit more today, motor is mounted as above but used the washers elsewhere so I'm scratching around to replace them and maybe go slightly bigger to take up some ply. Hooked up the choke, just went with the easy cable tie jobby that seems to be very popular, stays away from the...

    HK Slick 540 30cc

I have a gap there, 10mm to be exact. I read in a lot of threads about making sure the carb has room to get air and watchout for swirling etc, just wanted to check. I have too larger gap for a spinner with the standoffs supplied with the DLE (can kind of see it in first pic) and can't be...

EG 100cc Slick 540 from Aztech Aeromodels

Glad you got the club thing sorted. I had a chance to get one of these, cheap, in the bumblebee scheme...with a DLE 111. He was having issues with flight characteristics, hard to believe with all the positive stuff around. I decided against it.... Still kicking myself:banghead::banghead::banghead:

What's a good gap to keep between the carb inlet and firewall?

    HK Slick 540 30cc

I usually start on a wing so this one is no different.. Sealed the hinge line with some spare covering. I went with the fibre hinges for a quicker build... I did need to knock up 4 more horns so I could double up on all surfaces, not sure what the go was there. Even the website only shows 4...

    HK Slick 540 30cc

Hey all, thought I'd throw this out there for opinions a bit more experienced than mine. After the demise of my 1/4 GP Patty I started straight away to look for my next 30ccer. I wasn't really expecting much filtering through the HK website as I'd seen most of what they have to offer. That was...

3D GRAVEYARD (Post pics of the mangled old bones that used to be your Airplane!)

Thanks, I hope so too. My clubs at a salt flat, well it's not salt but looks like it. And yes it's hard as hades out there.

    First gasser 30cc....

Thanks Nate, Gyro.... The tank that came with it is a 380cc so I'm right on the money, according to my limited maths skills... Looks sturdy too so I'll stick with it... I'll do a build thread when I get a chance, really impressed with this ARF...

    First gasser 30cc....

Thanks Nate, so I'll need some 30 min epoxy?, mix as per normal, then add alcohol till desired consistency? and apply....

    First gasser 30cc....

Hey guys, I have a few questions regarding my first gasser build. I got this ARF from HK, yeah I know, but this is leagues ahead from what you would expect from them. Absolutely love the scheme and hardware is up to scratch etc etc... Only faults is having to make more control horns to double...

    Hobbyking Slick 360 3D

Didn't realize we had this thread here. I'm on my second HK Slick and absolutely love it. Mine has 42/38 NTM, 14x7 APC, 50A trust, TGY 210DMH servos and 4s 2200 blue Turnigy. Setup light just as i like it. Slow and floaty, if your having wing drop problems I'm not sure what your doing, I have to...

3D GRAVEYARD (Post pics of the mangled old bones that used to be your Airplane!)

Here's how my first flying giant ended up, poor Patty... Elevator servo arm parted ways with the servo....:banghead: There's no coming back from that sort of carnage... Oh wait, just get another..:grrreat:

    Help! IMAC setup help pls...

Hey guys, I have an old GP Patty Wagstaff 300S I picked up second hand and have spent quite a few hrs getting it right as it was partially dis-assembled for an electric conversion and to be honest wasn't setup well to begin with. I have the ail/ele servos out ATM and have some decent MG's on the...
