3D Bandsaw for Building RC Planes?

I had the old blue one. Great saw, just not for big items like wings. Unless you have a helper, but even then the blade is too close to the unit

    Brand New PAU........Viper-ST Announced!!!!!!!!

This is the worst news ever! This plane can't be ready yet.....I don't have funds for it in the near future. We must find some technical flaw that requires months of engineering fixing

3D Bandsaw for Building RC Planes?

I go the Ryobi one from HD. Only thing I didn't like about it was how close the blade was to the unit. makes cutting large width items difficult. Blade teeth were great for cutting foam rudders.

Did more wiring tonight. Wires are ran for every plug. Need to hook up one plug and cut holes for 2 outside lights then cut all power and put it all in the fuse box. That is my Saturday project. Tomorrow is putting up 2*4 beams for the wall supports. Wed is foam day!

Hey...I take offense to that! In your picture....is there any boards from the window to the end of unit or did you just attach the 2x4s to the back of the unit with nothing more underneath from window to the end?

I've been debating this all night and today. I have an alternate idea for how to support the back end of the unit. I plan to add a lean-to on the back side of this building for my trailer/lawn equipment/atv. It will have doors on each side. so putting a post in the ground or even angled...

That is what I'm worried about. The minute I put it on that side.........I will need to be walking between the structure and RV all the time and it will be in the way! I Think the back is going to win out.

The only thing I see an issue with the back wall is that I won't spend the majority of my time there. The back is where I'm storing the planes hanging from the ceiling. My workbenches will be middle to front. Of course its not that big a bldg...700sq ft and the AC is designed for that size...
