I have penciled in this event. No guarantees but I am doing my best to make it. It will be a three day drive each way but I am sure it will be worth it.

First flight was perfect. Needed 3 clicks of up trim and 1 click right aileron. I kept it very mellow with the new engine. A friend got some video of the maiden flight when he gets it up I'll post it. On the second flight I put it to the test to see what it could do. It's like flying a giant...

Seriously, I may just do that. The Slick is in the trailer waiting for tomorrow and I am sitting here with nothing to do in my garage! Being partly retired I need something to do with the other 6 hours in a day, I already fly 3 days a week. I wish I knew someone who wanted one built. I would...

Thank you sir. I am super happy with the weight. I really thought I had some weight penalties with some of my extra work. The kit is excellent. I really enjoyed building it in fact I am a little sad it's finished. I may have to start another Fibertech plane soon;)

Final weight is 28.5lbs with 1/2 tank of fuel. I was thinking it might be more with the cans and all the extra...

I used a solid hard wood in the rudder and just balsa on the ailerons and elevator. I was gong to use had wood but as I was thinking about it the week point is the foam and hard wood or not if its going to pull out the foam is where it will happen. So I hope it holds Lol.

3D Fibertech Hyperlite Slick 540 Build Thread

I installed the control horns. I used Pilot RC ones as I have dozens of them and they work very well for me. I like the three position adjustment. First I glued the Robart hinges with gorilla glue. I used 5 on each elevator, 6 on the rudder and 9 on the ailerons. For some reason I did not order...
