I think I am with you guys, I did do the belly but I am not going to do the stabs and rudder. I put the carbon in so if I change my mind I can. Just before I start covering I am going to get an initial balance. That may help me decide. The carbon was so light it hardly registered on the scale.

I was planning to do cut outs the control surfaces to save some weight but the weight savings seem so minimal. Are you going to do the cut outs?

Finally got back to work on it today. I sheeted the stabs, they are in the bag drying tonight. Most of my time went to mounting the cowl. I used Loctite Hysol to glue the cowl. This stuff is crazy strong and easy to work with but very $$. The rudder is mounted and I have plenty of throw using 1"...

    AMA and Multirotors

Just opened my new Model Airplane News magazine and the very first page is a two page ad with a quad flying over two Porsche's driving on a road. This all is a lost cause when the industry has ad's like this.

Yes, but if you go into woodruff there is a ice stand/machine you can get GIANT bags for $2 at TT I think its $4 for a small bag if I remember correctly.

The food at that café is OK, it will do when you want a quick burger. The ice cream is good for the hot days. I bring a small BBQ and it's really paid off bringing it. Just my opinion.

That's very cool. I am way to selfish and lazy to volunteer so I just make a small extra donation every year. Good for you:shake:

Had a couple pics on my phone from last night. I prepped the stabs for sheeting to night. I can't believe how perfect everything lined up with the stabs once the phenolics were installed. I am really enjoying my new little hot wire cutter tool.
