    Extreme Flights New Motor

Wow, so this forum is now like other ones out there and so paranoid of losing contributors that they will sensor my posts and remove links to others huh? Well I'm done here then. Been fun. But I'm out. Don't appreciate having my posts edited. Thanks mysterious moderator. Good bye.

    Favorite RC Magazine?

None of them. There isn't such a thing as an objective review in a magazine anymore, any reviews are generally paid advertisers and they don't want to risk offending them. Every review of every plane I get seems like it's more concerned with "it only took two clicks of trim!" type of statements...

First Look, ARS 300 From AJ-Aircraft.com!

Would also love some stats.... weight? Wing area?

First Look, ARS 300 From AJ-Aircraft.com!

Love the colors... and love the idea of being sized for smaller 50cc motors! Wonder how this compares to the AJ Laser in flying characteristics, more precision oriented, or more 3d oriented? Obviously AJ can make it fly both really well, but for the rest of us mere mortals?

    Aerobeez "BANSHEE" 91" Slick build

after a day of flying? I generally see about 250 mah per 9 minute flight on a 50-60cc bird. That is with ignition powered by a tech-aero on the same packs as the rx uses, so 6 digital servos and ignition. For me an afternoon of flying is generally 4-6 flights on the plane, and so I see around...

    PAU Extra 300sp 50cc

The soldering iron trick works well, however the barb of the hinge that extends past the hardwood blocks on the inside of the plane usually falls off once you melt through all the glued in parts. And then it rattles around inside the wing or stab or rudder. Wings aren't too bad, you can usually...

    Aerobeez "BANSHEE" 91" Slick build

Good move on the bolt I think. I've got a similar tailwheel setup and have lost the tailwheel two times. Lost the pin this last time, so I stuck a bolt through mine as well. Haven't had the chance to take mine back to the field to see how well it will hold up this time. Hopefully this third time...

    Help

The Addiction XL is an excellent plane to learn with. No need for the EF Edge if you have that. The only thing with the Addictions are that they are SO light that hovering them is almost like cheating and when you try to fly something else it's a bit of a learning curve to get used to a plane...

    Help

You mentioned buying two ARF's that are capable, do you mind sharing which ones? I see a lot of planes advertised as 3d planes, but you will find many of them still have really bad flying characteristics that will handicap you in trying to learn. I would strongly recommend a 60" electric plane...

    Throttle issues JR XG11

The monitor screen setting is your friend. Look at the throttle channel first, and make sure that at half stick the little indicator for the throttle channel is also at half. Then go to low throttle and make sure it does the same, and then high throttle. It should go down just as far as it goes...

    JRxg14

Have an XG11. Love the built in telemetry and performance so far has been rock solid. Even park flyer rx's... I've flown one in a glider that was way beyond park flyer range and it worked great. Had flown Spektrum for about 6 year prior to this, and after a string of crashes due to rx problems I...

    DA-70

I bought the cover from ExtremeFlight. It is for their Yak 54, I cut the heck out of it. And painted it. Paint didn't stick well, but as long as fuel stays off of it it seems to stay fairly well. In the pic of your Yak you can get an idea why I cut those ovals to the side... the 3dhs cowl curves...

    DA-70

I used an EME70 on my 3dhs 91" Yak because it was narrower due to having angled plugs. I didn't think the DA70 would fit without cutting cowl relief holes on the plugs, but I was wrong. Went to a fly-in this summer and saw a 91" Yak there with a DA70 in it. Fit just fine. I do recommend cutting...

    Prop for a DA35

I'm running a falcon 20x9 carbon on mine, it's a little slower on hover pullout, but develops better speed for the high energy moves. For me that's a fine tradeoff. I have used a Mejzlik 20x8 carbon in the past, and it's probably a bit better at low/slow harrier and hover stuff, with better...

SOLD! Delta Vortex from Bruce Thorpe Engineering LPU Little Rock, AR

I have a Delta Vortex plane made by Bruce Thorpe Engineering here. I got this plane as part of a package deal with a number of other planes a couple years back. I'm not flying much these days, and haven't flown this in several months. So it's time to let it go. The plane is equipped with a...

True 50cc plane. Need some help please.

Also the redwingrc 50cc slick would be a nice choice. They fly well, and also come in light, around the 16lb mark I think.
