Just ordered full length 1/4" spruce stringers from Aircraft Spruce. Those will take about 4 to 8 weeks to arrive. I still will have time before they arrive to do other things.

I was looking at the plans and the manual, and i noticed the gear plate i have looks slightly different than the gear plate in the manual.
Mine has three openings and the ones in the manual has 2 openings.
The middle pair of openings is directly at the level of the landing gear. I decided to beef this area up. I cut some 1/4" thick plywood, and have glued them in.

here is the 3/4" by 1/2" hardwood for the firewall to MB corner area. I will end up pinning this all with wood dowels.
