The new Field is Complete with lots of grass in the pits and runways. We are pouring the slab for the pavilion (18X35) covered BS area and we will also another (18x20) pavilion sitting on grass. Parking lot is complete and with all the rain we have had for the past few days it is still very dry. I am pleased with how the field has turned out. We are installing the safety fence this weekend August 17 and that will be it. I will post pictures when it is all completed. We are having our first event/ribbon cutting there September 2 with out Memorial Day fly in for MDA.

You can also go to our website "fortsmithflightmasters.com" and see a map to the field.
Ok guys its time to get the party started! As for the directions.

Latitude - Longitude:
35.328133,-94.274433

Lat: 35° 19' 41.2788"
Long: -94° 16' 27.9588"

If you are coming in to Fort Smith (most likely from I-40), Take I-540 to Rogers avenue exit (hwy 22). Go East down Rogers Avenue towards Barling. When you get to hwy 59 you will see a gravel road on the left about 30 yards past the intersection. You will see a sign and follow the signs to the field. The field is only about 5 miles from all the major Motels/Hotels, restraunts, etc etc. There is a variety of places to stay ranging from the Hotel 6 to the Hamton Inn or better.

I know there is more and I will add them later but I am kinda tired as I have been studing got a class for work and just knocked out 8 chapters tonight and I am in overload at the moment. I have 2 generators I can bring out for power for charging if need be, (5000 watt and a 5600 Watt inverter generator)
Camping is welcomed and like I said before, about EVERY major restraunt (etc) is just down the road.
Forgive me for the typos I am extremely tired at the moment

Plenty of room for a 37 foot Winnebago. If you are sure you are coming just let me know and I will mark off a spot for you.
Looks like my dad is getting excited about bringing the RV for this event. I just want to make sure there is room for a 37' Winnebago.

Really looking forward to this event... Plan to fly a little more up there... Last few events I haven't had my own planes with me. :(

We are committed. Gyro is staying with us. Please mark us out a spot as dad was concerned about having a solid enough spot for the rig. Time to work on what I am going to ship to have something to fly. This will be mainly a hang out and do some video and photography trip as I live too far to drive myself from NH. Not sure if the the tripod will make it though. The problem with a nice 3 CCD prosumer camcorder is it is heavy to be holding it above your body for long periods.

Matt, I can throw a tripod in my car. I use it for my camera, it has the normal mounting screw setup.
Hopefully the parking spot is close to "show center" so we can setup the 3DRCF media center there :)

Yep. It has a outdoor grill for some food action and dad will play host. He is not really into RC, but loves aviation. Sparing me lugging the tripod would be huge. He has a Hobbyzone Super Cub at his house (for the family), but I am not sure that will fit in for this event. Somewhere I have the bomb drop stuff.
