I appreciate the suggestions. I think I'll stay the course. The twin 36's will probably be sufficient. I want all the grunt from my servos I can get, so the Life packs probably will not fit the bill. Most 55cc planes utilize total of 5 servos and throttle. I will actually be running a 100cc setup due to the four aileron servos. So I'm thinking a very light 100cc setup will be okie dokie. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

I know huh?!? I figured someone would point this out. I honestly really truly did consider it. But two things stopped me. The first being kind of paramount. "Weight"! The weight these things apparently come in, I was too sceard to add any more weight. Second stopper is, the last plane I had smoke on, the residual residue from the smoke oil nearly destroyed the plane in a matter of 5 flights. I have also seen the nasty mess everyone else has on theirs. I swore I'd never put smoke on another plane.

Sorry but I have to agree with you on that one, love smoke on a plane as long as it is on somebody else plane and not mine. Did it once and never again, still have 10 gallons of the best smoke in the garage and do not know what to do with it.

@stangflyer battery size. I personally use 2-2700mAh lipo,s in my 150cc plane with 10 servos and weight is 38.5 lbs. after quite a few checks and draining the battery's and charging them I have never been able to use more than 350mAh in a 10 minute flight. So from that I have 2700*2 I have 5400mAh available. If go 50% safe we have 2700 to use. So if we take 2700/350 we get 7.7 flights say 8. That is how I do it just a suggestion.

You do have a point because you are running 2 more servos.

If you're not worried about the extra weight then I see no reason not to go that route.
Weight is actually foremost in my mind. That is why I was looking for alternatives on batteries. But the Pulse 3600 packs are pretty light, so they'll probably be best.

Yeah, me either. I will ask my friend if he needs more smoke oil. He may be interested in buying it from you.

Good input. I fly my 260 pretty hard sometimes. The twin 5200's after six long 10-12 minute flights will eat about 1700 to 1900 mahs. That's a little over 300 per flight. Yeah, the 3600's should be fine.

I wasn't going to post any more photos until the paint was on the cowl and the plane was ready to fly. But hey, I am so anxious and well, couldn't wait to see her getting closer. Soooo...A few teasers.

Damn, I gotta git the cockpit (@Pistolera gave me some really awesome ideas for the instrument panel) finished up and paint on the cowl and the servos installed and the prop drilled and.....Hee hee.

I have fallen in lust.

She ain't got no pants on!! I thought this was supposed to be a family friendly site!?!?!? lol ;) Seriously though, wheel pants are highly technical aeronautic instruments, don't try to fly without them :D

It's looking great stang, can't wait to see all the paint work done!
