The one that came with the Hempel acted like a drunken sailor on a hard runway. The springs were just too weak and the angle is goofy for a gold-n-rod setup like I had on my yak.

I have used these springs in the past with success... The compress instead of expand... Bout half way down the page.. The fuel line method is my "go-to" method though..

That's pretty much what I made except I needed more length so I soldered on wire and used little dubro ball links so it doesn't bind. It is working great. It is very responsive.
