Either way, the Dx6 made Ben Fisher's top 10 reasons why a plane won't fly right... Hopefully Dan can work around this limitation.

I flew with one until a few months ago. Maybe I'm not a good enough pilot to tell the difference, but other than gimbal feel and options, I never noticed any bad characteristics/measurable differences from the DX8, in-flight.

How about servo travel?

Oh, I was thinking of that as more of an option or setup difference, but yes, the DX8 will throw a servo WAY farther than a 6.

That makes a big difference on these birds, because only when you're able to move the link inward on the arm and max the travel, will you realize that servos full power and performance.

Adding those phenolic arms degrades performance. Once I went to the DX8, I never had to add the phenolic arms to my 65mg servos, and was able to get more than the manual recommended deflection.

Yep. At my first FLI he helped me maiden my 42" Slick I bought there. He said get off of it ASAP. Lol :)

Hopefully. I felt the speed change from dx6i to 8fg.

Well I'm sorry that I bought a good quality radio... sheesh, I hate it when people criticize me because I bought something that they think is bad. You know, some of us can't afford a $360 radio, sorry. :( If I did have that kind of money, I would be all over a DX8 or 8FG. But as it is, I'm making less than $1 a day from YouTube.

So leave me alone! :p

:)
