And is that not enough? Better than 100% still :D what's the normal that the DX8 does? 200%?

I could've sworn that the DX6i allows you to set up to like 150% throws... but I guess I'm wrong, huh. I'm not going to be doing any crazy 3D stuff so it should be fine. Can't you just set the expo to over 100% to get more throws, anyways?

:)

Dan

The expos do nothing to extend servo travel, just how they move around center stick. Dual rates affect travel, however they will never push the servo further than the resolution of the radio, so if the radio's max end points are 125%, and you have the servos set to 125%, setting the dual rates above 100 will not move the servo any further than 125% of the travel adjust.

Expo makes the servo travel at an exponential rate the farther the stick gets from center. The servo only has so much available travel, so adding expo shifts this movement from around center toward the end of its travel. As said, it doesn't "add" any travel.

So how does the DX8 add travel then?

A higher degree of travel adjust and rates. They both affect how far the servo will travel when you move the stick to the end points. Expo has nothing to do with travel or throws. All it does it to make the control a little "softer" around the middle. The idea is to make small movements a little smaller and large movements a little larger. The idea is that when you do high precision stuff, you're usually moving the sticks very close to the middle.

Ah, right. Very interesting? I think I should be good then :D

:)

It depends. You may not be able to do some 3D moves as effectively as you would with a better radio. But since the DX6i is what you have, just make the best of it. I'm sure you'll be fine.

It will make you a better pilot :D...So when you get a better radio all the maneuvers you did with the Dx6i will be much easier with anything else

Don't worry about it.
