The I'm going out flying thread 2016

O

Ohio AV8TOR

I am hoping to fly tomorrow. I have been flying my 83" Extreme Flight MXS with sending my VVRC40 back. They gave me a new motor as it seems that mine was an earlier one and the changed something in the crank which cause some to slip making both pistons not moving together. I tell you VV treated me as good as DA did on a problem I had with the ignition on my 60.  Big Kudos to Tim and their team

As it is new I am going to run some fuel through it today being it is new and it's raining.

Yeah Valley View has a good reputation for treating their customers right. Got my first 50cc plane and my first DLE 55 from them several years ago. Good bunch of people!

It looks like our wonderful summertime like weather is finally coming to an end here also. They forecasted rain both today and tomorrow with the high temperatures at least 20° colder than it was. Someone told me the other day that the Farmer's almanac is predicting for us one of the worst winters that's been seen in decades. This is one time I certainly hope they're wrong.

Yup....VVRC all the way baby.... Some of the best people in the business. Seeing Supa fly in person is even better than the videos.....

On the DLE 55 I think it was WT-76 and VVRC use to sell them.. http://www.valleyviewrc.com/estore/dle-55-replacement-carburetor.html

The 170 was a WB-27 the same carb used on DA 150s and I purchased it from DA...I think it was around 100 bucks..

Just as a side note, I broke the engine in on the stock carburetor before switching to Walbro and I did notice a profound difference in the engines performance. Don't regret it one minute and in my opinion money well spent.

Just signed back on and noticed that someone had started a new thread about "What's wrong with I'm going out flying thread " and it has been locked with access denied... humm I am simply amazed anyone could possibly have problems with what's been posted on this thread.  Oh well we are heading into Troll season and it's starting early.

Yes and if you go with the 170 you wont be disappointed with putting that Walbro on it I promise... makes a big difference

I've definitely decided on the 170. There are just too many guys using them that are very pleased with no bad history, that I am aware of to not go that route. (maybe I just can't find bad reports)

Getting really excited to have it done.

Taking advantage of the good weather before it's gone. Figured today would be a good day to go flying with my friend Ernie. He brought his Krill again and I brought the 260 out to put her through some paces. All seems to be well.... tomorrow? Ah yeah.....my son and I will be taking our Edges out to do some good 'ole "Father/Son" Huckin'....

Pretty sure I am going to buy Ernie's Katana. DA 100 and all the fixin's.... Pretty nice plane. Never been a fan boy of DA, but I think I will like this plane.

(Sorry about the video quality....cell phone video) I seem to always forget my good camera....doah!!

funny, i've been working on the site non-stop for four weeks and here I am looking for a break and I'm taking a foamie to the park for a few flights.

rc website does not equal rc flying.
