Cut slots for the aileron servo ears

Cut a slot just behind the carbon spar to tuck the servo wire into. Servo to fuse.

Servos centered and arms installed. Hot glue servos and servo wires in place

Horizontal tape is hinge line reference, line up control horn hole on this reference. repeat for left and right.

Mark cut line and start and stop of cut line

Make cut, remove tape and glue horn in place.

Cut the heads off 2 of the M2x16 screws. There is a total of 4

Aileron push rod components

Approximate measurement, yours may vary slightly

Finished assembly, make for left and right

Glue bottom wing in place

Cut a slot 22mm long for the aileron connector horns and glue in place. Do this for the top and bottom wings, left and right sides

Note that wing strut tabs are different sizes to fit in the top and bottom wing correctly.

Glue in the wing struts, carbon faces the fuse

Top wing temporarily in place while the glue dries on the bottom wing, this will hold the struts in the correct position

With the bottom wing weighted, glue the top wing in place, weigh the top wing down also while the glue dries.

Drill a 5/64" hole for the axle screws

Getting the carbon gear through there is a bit tricky, make sure it stays in the skinny part of the slot as you are installing it. Note: you will be compressing and flexing the foam in between the phenolic plates to get the gear through, this is ok, just be careful and take your time.

Drill a 5/64" hole for the gear plate screws and install

Make a left and right!

Here is where I veer away from the RCF method for the wheel axles, I use the more traditional giant scale axle mounting method.

Install wheel with washer and nut, be sure and use a little bit of blue loctite. Snip the excess screw off, this will also help keep the nut from backing off.

Glue the outer wheel pant cover on, let the screw pierce into the foam a bit.
