And the wing bag came for the Challenger. I figured being as Pilot was making them for their bird and it is perfectly sized for mine, why not. All four quarters fit nicely along with the tubes.

Pikot makes some really good bags. And most importantly they are not overly or outrageously priced.

Be careful with the edges with the Pilot bags. There is basically no padding there and it's easy to damage fragile edges. Ask me how I know this.:( You can also ask my flying partner Tony, he learned the same way I did. Wingtote's have better padding, but they don't make a 120cc sized bag for wings and stabs and tubes like Pilot does.

Now that you mention it, there was no padding and the material inside did seem a bit stiff. I will take heed and use caution in placing and removing, they are better than nothing I think, time will tell. I do know it is almost a guarantee they would get damaged stacked in the back of the cab.

Today was a delivery of a type of aircraft I have never owned, a "Foamie", and had always said I would not. My how our words come back to haunt us. I will not be taking this to the field, they'd beat me with it, the foamie crowd that is. Yea, I bad mouthed them a bit. LOL!!!

I guess we need to start a tundra thread.

The Tundra is ready to go, charging a battery now and will give it a shot when ready. I did not use the added tail bracing as one side had the wrong plastic end on it. Had to switch two wires on the motor to run forward. And there is a wire out of the speed control that I have no clue what it is for. It has been a very long time since I worked with such confining spaces.

The extra wire from the ESC is for a reversing function. Plug it up to a switched spars channel. When sitting still flip the switch and then start giving it throttle and the plane will drive backwards.

Here a video of mine doing it. I don’t use it anymore as I only have a six channel receiver in mine and I ended up removing the wing wiring connectors to put ailerons on separate channels for more mix options.

I gotcha, that is cool they add that. Many years ago, and I do mean many, we use to run car speed controllers just to do the reverse thing in the air. Yes, we went through a lot of home made foamies doing it but it was a blast for a while.

The maiden has been completed on the Tundra. Ok, I'll admit it, this thing is a hoot in the front yard.

Ok now take it way way way up high, pull power back and get it to stall, when it stalls crank in hard rudder and a little opposite ailerons, start bringing power back in and watch it do a wicked flat spin. Leave yourself plenty of time to recover as its not an instant thing and will not recover on its own. I honestly think in doing this the inboard wing stalls causing it to have such a wicked spin and probably why it also takes a bit of work to recover but it is fun to do. LOL
