DA changed the carbs on the DA 120. The adjustments are completely different now. They are supposed to help with the full range transition now and overall performance. Both of my 120s have the older style carbs and I was wondering about the new style carb..

Is your new DA 120 the one with the new style carb?

I have not used a GP yet, but maybe one day. One thing I have been fortunate with is my DAs have all started without issue, even after sitting for a long time. I am amazed at how the DA time and time again is steadfast in cranking. I am not ignorant that something couldn't fail, but nothing...

It is astounding at all the man-hours and the overall effort that has been applied to this, and the thing is this is just the beginning.

In my opinion, the biggest mistake made was the fact that there was never any defining of much of any of this when it first popped up as an issue. It is like writing a law about "trucks" that applies to all trucks when it should only apply to a certain type of truck such as a big rig. There was...

Flew Saturday and Sunday this weekend and it has been a long time getting out both days for a decent outing. Saturday was quite beautiful but it was gray cloudy at times yesterday and a few times plane tended to disappear. I think I popped down about 6-8 yesterday even with the grayness and a...

Yep that was the one. I am glad it is working good now because he sure had a time with it. One thing though, that engine would "tote the mail" as they say! I had a little 55ax nitro burner with a macs pipe and man oh man was that a screaming beast! OS makes a quality engine and they last well...

I would love to know more about this. I have been running the 29x9 on my DA 120s for a long time now and have not really had any issues, but what I would like to know is what is meant by "wake the engine up" as in exactly what characteristics come to life with that prop? With the 29x9s my planes...

No doubt they are some extremely powerful engines. The only thing I have seen is they are a bit pricey in comparison to other engines and the running backwards thing is unreal. It is almost an expected behavior. I know a guy and watched him over a year dealing with one of those suckers and it...

I have a few engines and not sure what will be my winter project. A flying buddy and I are thinking about building a couple profiles from kits, but not sure yet. I have pretty much everything I need to build one so cost is not bad. My work benches are clean finally and now I plan to mess them up...

Ok, I see what you mean. Also depends on how aggressive one is on the engine. I have one plane that has probably around 500 flights (guesstimate), but probably 90% of those have been extremely aggressive and a lot of back and forth throttle from 3D stuff. Certainly not the same and someone who...

Any of you guys got a set of wheel pants for a 100-120cc plane that you don't need and want to get rid of? I need them for an Extra. White is preferred but it doesn't matter as I am going to paint them anyway.

These schemes are fantastic looking, although the dark colors like blues and blacks on an RC plane can get it lost quick!
