DA changed the carbs on the DA 120. The adjustments are completely different now. They are supposed to help with the full range transition now and overall performance. Both of my 120s have the older style carbs and I was wondering about the new style carb..- Luchnia

I have not used a GP yet, but maybe one day. One thing I have been fortunate with is my DAs have all started without issue, even after sitting for a long time. In my opinion, the biggest mistake made was the fact that there was never any defining of much of any of this when it first popped up as an issue. Yep that was the one. I am glad it is working good now because he sure had a time with it. One thing though, that engine would "tote the mail" as they say! I had a little 55ax nitro burner with a macs pipe and man oh man was that a screaming beast! OS makes a quality engine and they last well...- Luchnia

I would love to know more about this. I have been running the 29x9 on my DA 120s for a long time now and have not really had any issues, but what I would like to know is what is meant by "wake the engine up" as in exactly what characteristics come to life with that prop? No doubt they are some extremely powerful engines. The only thing I have seen is they are a bit pricey in comparison to other engines and the running backwards thing is unreal. I have a few engines and not sure what will be my winter project. A flying buddy and I are thinking about building a couple profiles from kits, but not sure yet. Ok, I see what you mean. Also depends on how aggressive one is on the engine. I have one plane that has probably around 500 flights (guesstimate), but probably 90% of those have been extremely aggressive and a lot of back and forth throttle from 3D stuff.
