IMAC All New 3.1m Radiowave Giles 202 Competition Series Build Thread

Tony, Its not totally covered, just where the sheeting is joined. We use a spray bottle and let it soak in before bending. It usually works out pretty decent. I have also edged glued. If I am using gorilla glue and going to bag I prefer using tape so if I have any imperfections in the seams...

We have been keeping an eye on what things weigh and trying to take out some weight where we can. The foam was at 76 grams prior to sheeting. After sheeting and some light sanding the bottom comes in at 178 grams. So we add about 100 grams with sheeting and glue

Onto our progress: We managed late yesterday to get the bottom fuse foam sheeted and in the vacuum bag. We have a pretty large Router table that works out great for a flat surface when it comes to the sheeting of foam

The sheeting is taped together and we will be using gorilla glue to bond the sheeting to the foam. I will spray the sheeting ( oppisite sid of the gluing surface with ammonia prior to putting them in the shuck. It make the balsa more flexible and helps it conform to the foam parts.
