    Time for action Gentlemen

Its all a bunch of road apples, if you ask me. The FAA has wanted to have control over what us modelers have been doing for ywars now. The FAA finally has that chance, and they arent letting go of those reigns. Instead of punishing the real criminals, they punish all of us. Real brilliant...

N Not quite sure on the powerplant. Right now, its all a brain storming process. Either way, it will have a 9" rear end with 4.56 or 5.38 gears. Will be fun to drive to the gas station and back.

You just give me some insight as to why I was bogging off the line.... I'm not in "go pedal" far enough for launch. My 2nd pass, I tried 3K for launch, it was better, but still bogged. I've got basically brand new tires on it, and now a new short throw shifter. But I need to get a new lid...

Not sure how Im gonna do a choke linkage.... The way it is set up right now, the control arm hits the blind nut and screw for run mode. I really dont know how or why it ran like it did the first flight, but it was incredible! I have all of next week to finger it out.

When I mounted these headers and pipes, I have yet to have them seperate. The spring clamps are holding up just fine.

Got my Carden and Dalton down and cleaned up for paint work. Finished the cowl work on the Carden, added baffles. Just need to clean up the cowl for the Dalton. All this talk of new BS with Congress really has me debating on continuing with this hobby. Drag racing looks more appealing...

Just had an epiffany, while posting in the ZDZ lounge FB page........, I could have not opened the choke all the way. It would make the engine run real rich, and make it virtually untunable.

With the 7 minute flight I made Sunday, the midrange is pretty spot on. And quite honestly, I haven't run the engine on mufflers, and really don't wanna. The engine actually unloaded in the air in slight dives, so its not overheating.

    Trailer Alarm, and more...

A former friend of mine put an alarm on his cargo trailer. Had to use valet mode going down the road. Each time he hit a bump, the alarm went off.

Same as you, 28x9.5. Stock length DA 100 headers. Chad Wilson if TDRC was amazed at how it flew back in March, up til the deadstick landing. Back to the drawing board. Im gonna pull the engine and clean up the carb, and start back at recommended starting points. Gonna be awhile on that...

Went from screaming the prop to barely able to turn 5K. I did richen the engine up considerably. The L needle is right in there, but the Hi needle...... Seems like it wont lean out... We are also 25F warmer than it was back in March when I first ran this engine. Rocked the prop, 15x...

I personally cant tell much difference, but there are others who can feel 3 specs of dirt on their airplane. We remade fixtures when a friend of mine designed an Edge to be kitted locally. It was real pitchy, so we cut off the air balance and glued it to the stab. Lots less pitchy.

It will be more "pitchy". So, anticipate a bit more expo on the elevator.

Mine was too lean from late last year. But i fixed it up so that I can twist them little screws. I feel rear induction tunes a smidge different than front or bottom induction.....
