But what about the Iyy axis, or J?? ha,ha. Just kidding. Sounds very reasonable and very good reasons to place the carbon under the spars. The balsa will most likely stretch a bit at that outer fiber where the carbon isn't going to so the carbon should still be the ultimate failure point...

With the newer radios, I have not noticed any difference between twisted and non-twisted leads, other than twisted leads of the same ga will have a slightly higher resistance due to more length of wire. Looks like you have the taildragger mpx systems in the wings. Same as I use and no issues...

Now that I have "seen" your plane - I noticed it has adjustable horns on it. Dual servo aileron setups are super easy when the geometry is the same. Take care to make sure the horn/ball link height measured from the center of the hingeline is the same (and servo arms). Not much you'll be able to...

Holy cow! Getting caught back up and the work you’re doing is quite incredible! The detail.... How are you planning to temper the spring steel? Quench in oil? How are you heating it up and controlling the temp?

Well.... I picked a bad day to quit drinking Woke up this morning with that oh crap moment. Didn’t recall double checking the direction of the firewall installation. Yep, 50-50 chance of getting it right and I failed... :( :msn_slap: Good thing God makes cutting tools and sanders, because I...

Below pic shows how to make a break in the panels. This point is where the straignt section of the fuse sides start the taper. I run it through the table saw about 3/4 of the way through the panel. Bend the panel back and pack with epoxy mashed potatoes. Then use a squeegee to remove excess...
