    Thanks for the info. Is the density the same for resin and hardener (probably close enough)? Although, West system seems to have a pretty "large" mixing ratio in that if it is not spot on, it still goes off.

    You have some contamination in the finish. Snoopy alludes to it, wax. If you don't wash the first coat well (soapy water or alcohol as Snoopy suggests) prior to sanding, you can push those contaminants into the epoxy and you will get that bad fish eye. You will have to sand it off, but wash...

    Ha ! Yes a gallon! That gallon is left over from the days of building full scale race boats. Not much left. Will probably use 9430, comes in quart size can. I would have to split the 9412 with a buddy that is still building the boats. A gallon wil last a long time!
