Tuned pipe on a DA50. How many dB?

Hello Snowdog, My Pilot Edge is running a DA 25mm drop header with a prowflow medium rear dump canister. I too was amazed how quiet the DA60 is with this set up the first time we fired it up.

    Redwing RC Extra 330SC 50-60CC

Here's a tip for those using the Spot On wire tensioners, don't use the tube crimps that are supplied with the tensioners. Once you crimp them with the two set screws, you will have a difficult time removing them if you ever (which you likely will) have to replace the pull pull wires. Just...

    Redwing RC Extra 330SC 50-60CC

Snowdog and another club member helped to get my new Pilot Edge tuned in this weekend. This is my first gasser so I admit, I was (still am) pretty nervous. Everyone was pretty impressed at how smooth and quiet the DA60 is on a proflow can. Thanks for the help Snowdog!!!!

    30cc and 60cc airframes

O.K.....got it, no cowl split. Just thought it might be easier to add some baffling . I'm running the DA60 with a header / can and want to make sure I'm getting good airflow through the cylinder fins and through the canister tunnel. Maybe some pics anyone might have of a similar set up...

    30cc and 60cc airframes

The engine mount is a 1.25" blazing star mount. The spinner gap is determined by the builder. the front of the motor box on the Pilot edge is not mounted when you get the plane. This gives the builder a lot of engine / clearance options. You just have to make sure when you mount the front of...

    30cc and 60cc airframes

The header has a 1.00" drop, that pretty much is perfect for centering in the tunnel. The canister is a rear exit medium proflow. The carbon fiber is real. single layer carbon fiber laminated to the wood. Not only looks great but is very easy to clean residue off. Also adds a good amount...

    30cc and 60cc airframes

Snowdog muss be dreaming of green things to come in spring LOL. The EDGE I found NIB is the blue / silver / white scheme. Found a great deal on the airframe, and NIB DA60. I bought a Yak from a fellow club member after he crashed it. The plane had Hitec HS-7954SH servo's and a great running...

Snowdog to the rescue! LOL! Never another Sebart for me....hooked on 3DHS thanks to Snowdog. the 58" edge he sold me is a great flying plane. I've had the rates pretty low until I get used to this plane, I have to admit, a 3/4 throttle Sbach into a barrier fence left me a little gun shy! We...

    Sebart SBach 342 Build Log

thanks all! I really like this plane. I think I have learned alot about the air frame and what it likes or doesn't like. Although the plane is already built, I'm going to go throgh each phase of the build so you can see what I did. Guaranteed when I pull into the parking lot at the field...
