Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

LOVING this thread.....by all means keep adding to the history of your Granddad and the planes! The Krier Kraft is a beautiful and historic plane! I noted you are going to use 2 aileron servos each. Is this just for the bottom ones, so they'll drive the top ailerons via slave struts?

WOW....your Granddad did an awesome job on that one, and I'm sure you're gonna repeat it!!! Here's a brief history of Harold from Airshow Wiki; "Harold Krier joined the Army Air Corps and served as a Flight Engineer during World War II . After the war he earned his A&E license, learned to fly...

My wife was weaned on Piper Cherokees and Warriors. Economical and will carry a load of ice (she's been there - done that!). We had a C180 for a few years.

Another thing to do while you're waiting for the tank to fill (assuming you have an electric pump) is check the prop tips and blades for any chips or damage from the previous flight....as well as spinner attachment screws. I have a small stool I like to sit on while fueling and the prop is...

2 hinge-pins (bolts) per door and voila! It was amazing how non-turbulent the cockpit was, until you side-slipped....then ya better have your hat in your hand! :p

Van Sant is a really neat airport. Would love to fly some RC there, but I don't believe any clubs hold events there. Speaking of doors and windows open....we used to own this '46 Luscombe 8A/E, and would take the doors off on hot summer evenings!

    Reworked Edge 540T

I had the pleasure of meeting Larry, and Abe at the Washington, DC area IMAC meet this past weekend. Great fellows and fantastic planes (Abe's is a Carden). When I first walked up to look at Larry's Edge I asked if it was a CARF.....the darned thing was so smooth!!!! Pictures don't do it...

    Hello from Elizabeth City NC

We all got to admire Larry's re-bash of a PAU Edge at the CAPI (Washington, DC area) IMAC contest this weekend. When I first walked up to it, I asked if it was a CARF plane?....as it looked like a painted fiberglass plane. But what we were seeing was just an outstanding job of covering and...
