    GSN IMAC Lite Format...Ideas??

Bart....my thoughts regarding your last post; regarding judging, what i remember from working towards becomeing a judge for IAC and doing my qualifying work as an assistant, the criteria for judging was a lot to handle. even the "experienced" judges stumbled through flights and didn't exactly...

    GSN IMAC Lite Format...Ideas??

Also....and I don't want to come across as a smartazz, but anyone wishing to help get something like this going really should sign up and try out at least one IMAC contest. I think that would be invaluable experience for them, and provide a foundation for developing an IMAC Lite program.

    GSN IMAC Lite Format...Ideas??

Yes that's true.....and can be very intimidating to many. If this is a "stepping stone" event I would agree with sticking to the knowns.

    GSN IMAC Lite Format...Ideas??

OK....back home after a ONE-DAY contest (due to weather). Of course this was a regularly scheduled 2-day contest (Sat & Sun). When I told Bart many typically use 3 days....I was including Friday as a practice day at the site, which many take advantage of.....although some just drive to the...

EMAC - Electric ONLY IMAC Events

The single-sequence rounds worked well at the fly-offs, although as you said, more work for the CD. As pilots we also had less time to relax, but still not rushed at all. I agree if it is done for for all pilots at that contest, I think all it needs is an advanced notice that the contest would...

    Let's see your full-scale airplane!

Thanks Larry....she was a keeper!:fist_pump: I didn't build the Pitts....it was a factory built S1-T, built in the Pitts factory in 1982. My Dad bought it new and I bought it from him in 1985. Had a great time competing in IAC and met some fantastic people. Very similar to my IMAC...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

I have never drained my planes, cans, lawnmowers, chainsaws, weedwhackers, etc during off seasons.....sometimes lasting 5 months or so. Never used stabilizers and never had any issues in the spring. I use whatever gas is convenient, although do try to buy 91-93 for my plane. Maybe I'm just...

Another thing to add to ya'll's checklist is to check your carbon wing tubed for any signs of delamination. I rube my hands over it first feeling for any bumps or imperfections. Then try to twist it. Next I hold it gently between two fingers and let it hang (like a wind chime), lightly tap a...

No reason that wouldn't work. I was just thinking you can easily find 50-64 oz bottles and mount side by side.

That was a GREAT engine...still is as far as I know. The aerobatic version of it took me thru unlimited in my Pitts S1-T. This pic was taken in 1989 at a contest in Covington, TN.....first date with my soon to be bride (going on 27 years this Aug!).

Lots of guys running the DA200 run a separate tank to each carb. I'm guessing your 300 has two carbs....?
