    Carbon Fiber Spinner Options

I have a EME 70 coming for my EF 88" Edge and I'm interested in getting a Carbon Fiber spinner for it. There are the Mejzlik spinners from DA but what else is available out there? I'm looking for a 4" spinner and I'd like it to be drilled for the 4 bolt pattern. However, if I need to drill...

    Assembly: EF 110" Yak-54 V2

Do you take off the stabs when you have it in the back of your truck like that or do you just let them flop around? Just curious since I do mine tail in.

    Is a DLE-61 any good?

Once again I don't want to flame DA. They make great engines and I wouldn't judge anyone for buying one naturally. But I am digging some of the different manufacturers that have come out and seem to provide a good engine for the money.

    Assembly: EF 110" Yak-54 V2

I haven't flown a ZDZ 180 of course but it's still a motor to consider. However, I'm in the mindset of why pay twice as much for a motor when people are having good luck with a cheaper option. If you destroy the motor in a crash, just buy a new one instead of spending all that money on...

    Assembly: EF 110" Yak-54 V2

I'm starting to dig the non-traditional engines. I just bought a EME 70 to replace my problem child DA 60, I actually got my Brillelli 60cc running again last night, and I'm now leaning towards a DLE 170 or GP 176 EVO for my Dalton. May still go DA but if I did, it would probably be the 150L...

    Is a DLE-61 any good?

Replaced the carb because the old one had some kind of build up. I could've sworn they said they cleaned it but then it had a new carb and the throttle linkage also seemed different when I re-installed it on my Edge. I'm not saying DA makes a bad engine but I did not have a good experience...

    Is a DLE-61 any good?

I wouldn't buy a DA 60 again. They're too finicky and I hear of people having a lot of problems. Hell I spent 2 years trying to get mine running right and then it started dead sticking. When it ran, it was great but I spent more time wrenching on it than flying it. Now yes I did sell it...

    Is a DLE-61 any good?

@Bartman, I would also look into the EME 70. I've heard good things about it and it's only $70 more than the DLE 61.

    SOLD! DA 60 w/ProFlow Can

I am selling my DA 60 with header and Medium Rear-Exit ProFlow Can. The engine has 6-7 gallons through it and just came back from DA. I was having problems with the motor cutting out and DA found build up in the carb. My guess is that the build up had been there from the beginning as I had...

Man I need to get back to work on mine. Of course, it would also be nice to be home!

    Basic engine tuning.

Well it turns out there really was a problem with my DA 60. The mechanic said there was something like a calcium build up in the carb that was causing fuel flow problems. They were able to replicate the problem and get it running. Unfortunately in trying to resolve the midrange burble, it...

    Basic engine tuning.

No worries. I guess the main reason why I decided to follow you up on your suggestion was that to me it was obviously a fuel flow problem and these carburetors are mass produced when means there can be some bad/defective parts. Plus I wasn't the only one with this problem and other people...

    Basic engine tuning.

I mean, I understand that the engines are designed around certain parameters but with my 60 I could not get rid of the midrange burble and anytime I went inverted, knife edge, or tried rolling maneuvers, the engine would not respond and lost a lot of power. So it's either sell it, send it in to...

EMAC - Electric ONLY IMAC Events

Nice, I'm currently building a 40%er and I have thought about doing it as an electric. Right now, I'm also considering converting my EF 88" Edge to electric.
