The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

If your reffering to Chris I think his 33 finally started running well. Now both of his gt22's have run great from the start. Seems it was the 33 that most complained of wanting to start backwards.

Built family memories this past weekend in Utah. As most know we adopted our little girl back in January. Shortly after we where put in contact with the family in Utah that adopted her older brother. This past weekend we went out for his third birthday and what a treat it was.

Used some 1/2 PVC to build a rack to hold my gliders and smaller planes. Need to glue it all together as its not as secure as I would like it just being friction fit and I ran out of PVC but I like it and it will keep my DLG's which are very fragile up out of the way.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Just adding to my soldering setup. Have had the iron forever but found this neat little stand to hold the roll of solder. Also a new bottle of flux and some copper braid for when solder needs to be removed. I’m thinking it’s about time to build a soldering station to house everything. I’m...

Not as hard as it looks or hard on your shoulder if you prepare. I went out one day and threw mine and the next day could barely move my right arm. Now before I make my first toss I do about 2-3 minutes of stretching and Then I can throw for a couple hours without any problems. Edit: might I...

I broke in the new chain saw today (hoping not to need it after this storm but have it none the less) and we introduced the little girl to spaghetti. Needless to say both where a great success.

Yup to me three pedals is a must in a vehicle like that. Looks to be just an old buffing pad he has on his jack.

Yeah my insurance told me I didn’t need to do anything different with them unless I decide to not buy it back then I just have to call to have it removed from my insurance. With what I found two bumpers for and what they are gonna give me I will end up pocketing close to a grand. Might try to...

I have already talked to my insurance and they could care less. Not sure about dmv but if I never have to send my title to the insurance then really the dmv won’t ever know about the accident.

well looks like insurance is going to total my truck. Good news is they are want $250 to by it back and I went to all the local salvage yards today and found bumpers that will be about $200 for both and the insurance thinks since there is no obvious frame damage that I may be able to keep my...

Gotcha. Yeah I expect at a body shop for this incident to run around the $1500 mark. Have already looked it up and two new bumpers is gonna be around 5-600 bucks. So long as they don’t total it I would prefer to take a check and fix it myself as I can prolly get lucky enough to find a couple...

Thanks. I will try that. Talked with my insurance and the at fault drivers insurance today so the ball is rolling at least. I think it’s kind of a joke. He has Allstate and they told me to download the app and submit pictures and they will appraise it that way. How exactly to you accurately...

Yeah I can buy it back but it’s all in what they want for it. Plus that meens I would have to have a salvage title on it. I’m hoping the insurance guy will listen when I say look it needs two new bumpers. Give me what bumpers are worth and I will buy and install them myself. I’m fine. Little...

Hopefully insurance doesn’t total so I can pull it in the shop and fix it. Got hit from behind today and shoved into another vehicle that then got shoved into another one itself. Four vehicles total. Only needs a new front and rear bumper and their mounting brackets but between that and labor it...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Very nice. I will admit I was hoping you where gonna to the cheap route like I did with some form of the Taranis and using OpenTX but I still think you made an excellent choice. From most of what I have read it will do pretty much anything the open source hardware in the taranis will do but is a...

Yes that does look good but the one I really am referring too is the D model that has the nice forward slant with the red paint.

Now stang any ideas on what scheme you will go with? Personally I’m a huge fan of the Tuskegee paint job with the red tail.
