    Yippee! What the postman brought

I hope it goes well snoop. It’s one of the few yaks I really like the look of but I have heard a lot of people complain about the quality on the flex one. I hope it was just a first run thing and has all been sorted out as I know all his foamies go together well and that the Mamba has as well.

Yeah they all have their good years and bad years. I know I will prolly never buy new again and always research what I'm buying before hand.

Such a shame you have so many badass planes and they get hauled around by a bow tie. lol

Well a buddy of mine is selling his Avanti for $200 but he is in Alaska so shipping it would prolly be pretty costly.

I agree with stang. Crank in all the throw it can give you then set a lower rate switch. I have gotten to where I like around 30% expo on all surfaces except rudder which I always run zero expo on.

Took the little hobby king foamie yak out for a flight. Flew really well. Needs a bigger elevator as max throw produced big lazy loops. Otherwise it felt really good.

She is doing great. Will be 7 months next week. Is sitting up, pulling up on things, crawling, eating solids, babbling like crazy, and just an all around happy baby. Also just a heads up my club is planning a fun fly for I believe September 15. Your welcome to come out.

A 20cc profile will make it easy. They are big enough to see and handle wind well and can take a hit really well when you dork it.

The value hobbies foamies hold up quite well. They are a little softer EPP than twisted hobbies Stuff so they flex more but I had the Giles and it flew amazing. Always flown mine outside. I have flown it in lots of wind and it’s a handful. Once you get to about a 5mph wind it’s better to just...

Been working on this the past few mornings before leaving for work. Just a foamie from hobby king and my value hobbies Giles has seen its better days. Really pretty impressed with it. Foam is denser more like the EPP that Twisted Hobbies uses and the fit of all the parts is great. We will see...

First two pics are of my old sbach. Next three are pics of a mojo 60 a buddy built with a dle20. Last pic is a mojo60 in the front and mojo 40 in the back both with satios on them.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Well both the mojo60 and sbach65 will do low and slow really well. Mojo is prolly easier to build but it’s also a one piece wing so you need to be able to transport something fully assembled or mod it to a two piece wing. I guess I would say between the two I feel the sbach flys better but the...

Pdf isn’t hard to print right and I may be able to convert them to CAD pretty easily. Personally when it comes a a low and slow just all around fun plane the sbach 65 is the ticket. It’s only downfall in the original design is that it was built heavy and the wings where held with a joiner block...

I have my Giles plans but I never finished it to fly. Also I have the edge plans I did at 44” span and 56” span. I could just scale it up to 20cc size. You would have to adjust stick sizes and all though. I had planned to draw that edge at 20cc size at some point but just haven’t gotten to it...
