Yes, the spin is directional. In a left to right pattern you will go left to take it out or right to bring it in. Personally, I lean on the rudder just a tad just before the break in favor of which way I want the spin to go.- Robotech

Measuring throws on control surfaces
I have used the iPhone anglemeter app to set mine. One note of caution: Do not lay the iPhone on its side unatended on the elevator half and then pull full up high rate elevator. Fast 400 Oz. servos will throw it about 3 feet.- Robotech

Tail Wheel Steering, Springs vs Fuel Tubing or other setups
The absolute cure for perfect steering and no load on the rudder is to add a separate servo for just the tailwheel, but who wants the added weight. This too has been a concern for me. I don't want any load on the tail wheel in flight. I can not speak first hand of the geometry of the shock...- Robotech

Balance it according to the manual for the maiden flight, then adjust according to your preference. Do a full throttle 45 degree inverted up line to check. Mine is perfectly neutral. If you like them a little tail heavy, adjust your weight until it climbs a little bit.- Robotech

Great that you're on your way now. My experiences with getting warranty issues handled with Horizon has been great. I one case I had ordered a replacement canopy and it arrived racked form shipping damage. I called them and when I mentioned I had ordered the canopy for a fly-in in a few days...- Robotech
