motor box top plate - ok to use screws or is epoxy a must

The H9 33% series balanced pretty well with a DA100 on the nose. Given he has chosen a DA120, he will be loosing a couple of pounds of nose weight right off the bat. I would use that as an opportunity to beef up everything up front including tossing the long standoffs in favor of a laminated ply...

    Hangar 9 3.1M Sukhoi

Doesn't Ultra-cote have 25' rolls? May be worth a call. I know you really don't want any joints on the bottom. I chased loose covering for 2 years after I tore the covering on the bottom and patched it. You could use one piece to cover the pipe tunnel then another to finish to the back, putting...

    Hangar 9 3.1M Sukhoi

I just "decommissioned" the Sukhoi I have been flying for over 3 years. Not a single piece of wood loose and no damage anywhere else other than a little wearing of the canopy where it rests under the cowl. This is after 1000+ flights with 3 different engines, most being with a piped DA170. I'm...

    STOLEN in WA State!!

I checked mine a few years ago and found that homeowners covered the trailer and contents as long as the trailer was not hooked to the vehicle. If it was hooked to the vehicle, Auto insurance covered the trailer but not the contents. I bought a little policy just for the trailer that covers it...

From the beginning. How did you start flying RC?

I flew the old Cox control line stuff back in the late sixties but got out after I got a whiff of gas and ......... and .......... girls. Flash forward 25 years and I got a call from a local hobby shop for some IT work (Advance Hobby in Monticello, AR). I walked in the store and *POOF* it was...

Quick way to ruin family relationships! (Funny but true story)

Yep. And with Thanksgiving right around the corner he will have an audience at the family gathering for revenge. He still has plenty of time to think of a good one. Heck, just telling his side of the story would be good enough.

    Frank Bowman Rings

Though I have never had any dealings with him or had the occasion to use his products, he gets consistently great reviews. If I were in the market for rings, he would definitely get my business.

    3D Covering???

Waiting also, as I am about to strip and recover a 40%. Anyone who says they have a "fool-proof" method for covering has never seen me cover. :(

2015 Joe Nall... What does GSN need to do to take over the world?!

I hate to be a stick in the mud, but I would keep it positive and stay with the "good vibes" theme in the spirit of Joe Nall.

The size of the carb inlet determines best size. Period.

Who has seen the Geese flying?

Here in Southern Arkansas they become a nuisance pretty quickly in the winter. They are everywhere and crap everywhere.
