The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Just an after thought.......Although I have a good understanding of the Aura AFCS system in no way do I consider myself "An Expert" . The best method of learning the system is through the "Aura Configuration Tool". There is also a FAQ and wiki on the Flex site to help modelers/flyers of this...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Thank You Brother :). NanoTechs 3300mah 65C 6S. I also set the timing on the ESC to high. Prop that comes with the plane is awesome and was balanced well! Matches the motor and plane most excellent! I only flew both packs down to 75% after about 5 minutes of flight time so strong 7-8 minute...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Got up way to early this morning to actually know what I was doing but did get two 6S 65C packs (first time use) and the "official" maiden in on the QQCAP232EX. This plane is a FANTASTIC FOAMY FLYER. Can't wait to get it out again! :yesss:. Power is insane!

    Post your foamies you’re flying

My current "Wall of Foam". Been flying the QQ300 the longest ( over 3 years) with the Rock Star right behind. QQ Cap232 is a new addition this year. All of them are awesome flyers with the Aura 8 flight controller.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I burnt midnight oil and went ahead and did both aileron horns :ugh:. As it stands right now the only nut / bolt / horn / control rod that worked as it should was the elevator o_O. Flex does not offer the horns. They make you get another wing panel. So to the shop I went and stayed up half the...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Nope. No Super German.......Just typical China . And @Snoopy1 Nailed it.....DO NOT use blue lock tight. It melts the plastic!!!!!!!! Did some super Kelly engineering on the rudder horn (Installing a new one would destroy to much foam). Going to have Flex send me some new Aileron...

Got some rudder horn repair to do again on the new CAP232. I discovered that the "ATV" set up in the Aura8 was a bit excessive for the rudders mechanical limit and thus what's happening.........Other wise plane is a super flyer! Me LIKE :).

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

The screws and lock nuts do not "lock" and it is recommended to use the blue LT. I may go back over all control linkages and make my own push rod / ball links using du bro 2-56 ball links and 2-56 hardware. Have already heard complaints about this (rods coming off in flight). If I did not have...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

It's ready for Maiden :). Two things did not go well. The rudder horn was broken and the spinner did not fit correctly. Was able to correct both issues but I hope the hard plastic used in this foamy is not too brittle :concern:. All control hardware should be snugged down with blue locktite and...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I'm ok with it but a real paint job not just stickers would be nice. Maybe a future project ??? Got it all out of the box......Going to make an "EasyLoad" battery mount. The two stock straps are very difficult for me to manipulate. Just one strap and some Velcro for the tray deck and battery...
