Could just use a better scheme that's all.

I'm ok with it but a real paint job not just stickers would be nice. Maybe a future project ???

Got it all out of the box......Going to make an "EasyLoad" battery mount. The two stock straps are very difficult for me to manipulate.
Just one strap and some Velcro for the tray deck and battery will work great. First thing to do is get the connectors swapped out. XT60's will be fine for this. And "Gort" (Day the Earth Stood Still) is a  pilot bust.

The weekend is here and I am hard at it. I have so many projects it's tough keeping them all lined out. But one gorgeous redhead will always get my attention. I ordered a new Reed housing for the 157. The original I ordered was the previous model. It had no bolt recesses in it so it was necessary to remove it before the engine could be mounted/dismounted from an airframe. I really didn't like opening up the engine like that. Not only the because the fear of getting dirt or crap inside the engine. But also replacing the gaskets gets a little costly. Hey, them 3w gaskets are not cheep. Anyway, the updated version like the reed housing's on all my other "dub" engines arrived and I wasted no time in getting it swapped out. You'll be able to see the mounting bolt recess in the housing in the photos. Glad this part is now done. One less thing to worry about.

It's ready for Maiden :). Two things did not go well. The rudder horn was broken and the spinner did not fit correctly. Was able to correct both issues but I hope the hard plastic used in this foamy is not too brittle :concern:. All control hardware should be snugged down with blue locktite and careful not to over tighten.

That bib not take long it went together quickly. One thing lock tight will effect some plastics, be careful with it.

The screws and lock nuts do not "lock" and it is recommended to use the blue LT. I may go back over all control linkages and make my own push rod / ball links using du bro 2-56 ball links and 2-56 hardware. Have already heard complaints about this (rods coming off in flight).
If I did not have the issues at hand this plane could have been flight ready in less than an hour. The only part that gets glued is the rudder to rudder stab.

Got some rudder horn repair to do again on the new CAP232. I discovered that the "ATV" set up in the Aura8 was a bit excessive for the rudders mechanical limit and thus what's happening.........Other wise plane is a super flyer! Me LIKE :).
