    Biggest problem with videos (even if they are decent quality) is the lack of perspective in relation to the ground as well as movement through the air. Very difficult to judge as far as my experience goes.

    You mean it was HUGE!!!!!!!!!! :LOL_gif: Matt brings up a good point. Having someone critique your flying and record it (cell phone) for payback after you land is a fantastic way to learn. For me it's better than having them stand by you and critique while you're flying, cause you can't...

    Sheeting and wingtip done....as soon as I drill out the old hinge pins it's ready to cover. If anything, this little impromptu project has lit my fire again.....forgotten how much pleasure it is to build/create. As soon as I wrap this up I'm jumping back into the Krill.....PROMISE!!!

    New ribs cut, glued and sanded to final contour. Glued in a couple of stringers forward of the spar. Ready for some sheeting, which is only from the spar to the leading edge. Rear bays remain open. This wing is just about done and ready to recover. Left wing still to go, but WAY less...

    John....that should be an excellent plane to start with.....and at least on into Sportsman when you're ready. I don't have any experience with them, but have seen them flown in IMAC and they did OK.

    Making up missing ribs.....I tacked some string in a few places so I can see the contour of the wing where the missing ribs go. Take some measurements and cut out some card stock templates. Make them as accurate as you can and sight down the strings to verify their outlines. This will help...

    When is a plane used up.....well......? Used up.... Not used up.... Both look DONE....but the 87" Extra (Red one) only needs the forward 1/2 of the fuse rebuilt, and I have the 3DHS motorbox kit. Also have wings, stabs, canopy, landing gear and cowling from my first one....so it WILL fly...
