    Brand New PAU........Viper-ST Announced!!!!!!!!

I spoke to Herve about this just a couple days ago. He told me that the factory had some delays but that they were currently boxing up everything for loading into the container. He's still hoping to have the Vipers in by mid-late November.

    PAU Owners Thread

Thanks Terry, I know just what you mean about those bubble wrap bags. I usually wrap the wings in something soft first before putting them in the bubble bags. I'm going to order a custom Revoc set of covers (full fuse, wings, tail) but I can't do that until I get the plane and can send them...

    Thinking of Going to Jeti

It's the new 7018 with dual deans plugs. Unfortunately, it is limited to 6x high torque servos. Futaba included a notice with the RX saying not to exceed 12 amps and 6x high torque servos. I'm sure this receiver has a place, but I wanted a Futaba version of the Power Safe receivers. I was...

    Thinking of Going to Jeti

I've been considering the same change. I was very disappointed in the new Futaba RX. I fly a 14SG and I was planning on using that receiver on several new builds. I'm also a huge fan of telemetry. I don't feel that futaba handles telemetry as well as Jeti, and Jeti has a very nice solution...

    Brand New PAU........Viper-ST Announced!!!!!!!!

Terry, Was the cowl the only thing changed between the 2 yellow prototypes, you and Herve have, and the production versions?

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

Looks like no flying for any of us in the SW. The hurricane that hit Mexico is promising 7-9" of rain here in Houston over the weekend.

What is the max number of channels generally needed for giant scale?

Most giant scale planes only need about 6-7 channels. If you are willing to run matchboxes or some kind of power distro with servo matching then all you absolutely have to have is Aileron (2), Elevator, Rudder, Throttle, Kill. 2 channels for Ailerons is very nice to have for...

Skip Stewart's P3 Revolution, 60cc, Horizon Hobby, NEW!

The QQ Mamba looks great. It's on my must-have list. I'm hoping to do one this spring. It's been delayed a couple times. So, there's no firm release date.

IMPORTANT!!! Let the AMA know what you think!!!!!

When I lived in MA it was the law to register my bicycle and my dog. I never did. When I lived in the mid-west it was the law to register my handgun. I never did. When I lived in Ohio it was the law to register my canoe. I never did. If it becomes the law to register my planes, then I...

IMAC Dalton Yak 54, 38% please submit suggestions here....

I think on my runway it doesn't work well because of how rough it is. A smoother surface would probably be fine. I'll stick with the soft wheels for now though.

IMAC Dalton Yak 54, 38% please submit suggestions here....

The paved surface at my field is fairly rough. The one WRE hard rubber wheel I have seen fly there didn't work all that well. It slipped so much on the surface that it didn't steer well, and it was extremely noisy, like something scraping. The soft rubber wheels work great. However, the...

    Brand New PAU........Viper-ST Announced!!!!!!!!

I'm always slow with my builds. That's why I don't do any kits anymore. It takes me months to get an ARF ready! I'm hoping to have my Viper flying by the end of the year though. Terry will have built his, a dozen other plans and designed a few more by then. Hey Terry, maybe you should do a...

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

I have one in my EF 78" Extra. It's a good combo but not a rocket. The new 35cc Edge from PAU would probably be my first choice. The 74" Edge, 74" Laser, 76" MXS from EF all would likely work. You could also look at any of the 30-35cc planes from Aeroworks or Redwing.

I think I'll just stick with White Rose. Besides, I like the idea of supporting someone who actively supports our hobby.
