Anyone Running 32:1 Redline in a DA?

Just checked VP fuel and a five gallon of T4 oxygenated with 93 engine octane is$60 .63 or $ 12.13 per gallon . C9 fuel in five gallon container engine octane 92 is $56.88 or $11.37 a gallon . A gallon (us) here is $ 3.62 to $3.75 so VP fuel is about 3.2 times more money than the pump gas .

Anyone Running 32:1 Redline in a DA?

A high quality oil at 40:1 after engine is broken in and Pennzoil air oil at 32:1 for break in . Got this from ZDZ instruction manual on their site . They even give a temperature of 180- 210F on the top two fins anything higher and you risk damaging the engine .

Anyone Running 32:1 Redline in a DA?

Get some telemetry on the engine with a temp sensor and see what temperature range your engine is running .. What another $45 for a sensor , I better running T4 VP fuel will run at a lower temp than pump gas . As for ZDZ don't they have a wide range for oil ratios that the company says you can...

Anyone Running 32:1 Redline in a DA?

I wouldn't , you just carbon up your engine and plugs quickly and not get that nice brown / tan burn on your plugs It's better to with a good racing fuel with 91-93 octane with no methanol And run it with 40:1 ratio . To much fuel now has methanol mixed in that attracts moisture and screws up...

IMAC The new Dalton 300 SP / 330

Like the fuselage design but the wing needs more distinction from the top to bottom , a larger design on top and maybe a bright yellow stripes on the bottom side near the tips would help with see the red in the dark skies .

    Pre-Oiling new engine.

I still use after run oil in the engine, but the type i use is pneumatic air tool oil looks like red trainee oil but for air tools , just a couple of drops and turn over the engine . It does provide extra lubrication on those bearings and needle bearings and burns off quickly during start up...

New EFI DA-120 shown at WRAM

Looks like a small K&N air filter could be used for those dust conditions . I have seen the video of the DA 120 efi testing in Oct in a Yak54 , it was very smooth and seamless in the slow speed transition while hovering and during full throttle flight . This should prevent a lot of tail slides...

Nice but very pricey for EFI , if it was even near 2100 maybe but still hugh coin for our application:oblong: .

    Sport Restoring The Laser

My dad and i had the Rossi 40 which i used in quickie 500 racing , it was very loud as well , it had a lot of torque . If i remember that the muffler bolted into the case so the bolts went through the case hole and tightened into the muffler . I still have the engine and should look at it . The...
