    AutoCAD Tips and Tricks

So here are my steps for exporting a CAD file into a PDF that will print at the correct size. @Snoopy1 Ok as a first reference here is a drawing after its done without changing the sizing to get it correct. Base viewpoint in CAD for me at least is a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. Note the red...

AutoCAD is funny like that. If you just go a click export to pdf it’s going to convert it to something on 8-1/2x11 and it’s only gonna convert what is currently shown on the layout. So if you are zoomed in on the motor mount area when converting that’s all that will go through. It’s a multi step...

It was just the learning process and realizing I needed to create a custom print page and make a viewport that was the same size or larger than my plans. At first I was having it convert and when I would print...

Yeah it took me a long time to figure out the pdf thing. Well let me correct myself. I figured it out in about five minutes how to convert it but getting it to convert and still be scaled properly was a chore. Now that I know how to do it it’s no problem. What version AutoCAD are you using.

@Snoopy1 when I’m ready to print stuff from cad I just convert it to a pdf so it’s easier on the print guy.

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

I use bob smith stuff for thin ca but for medium I use either the gorilla glue or titebond brand. When it comes to wood glue I like the gorilla stuff but I as well have found it sets up a little quicker so I normally just stick to titebond II
