The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I never did get a 6S graphene because the two planes (6S EF MXSR and 6Sx2 Pilot Extra) ended up in plastic bags :( lol. Have been wanting to try a 3S 2200 for my QQ300 but I have great success with the two 3S 65C-130C peak 2250 Nanotech's. I can't find a graphene in the same mah and C rating...

Need some help. Does anyone know of a source that you can get 4-40 titanium rod ends from? Preferably bulk (like 50+ pieces). Can't surf 4G at the moment.

Just call and talk with Kevin or Al and see what they can do. I would think they could get you a full kit.

@Snoopy1 When I was flying Futaba the local rep told me the HS and HV receivers were good for 30 amps peak. The instructions that came with my Spektrum power safe 9140T says 40 amps continuous 50 amps peak. I never had voltage "drop out" problems with my Futaba gear but I ran power expanders...

    NGH Four Cycle Engines.

Thanks. I will probably do that. I remember the OS four stroke gassers having problems with upper end (valves. guides and rockers) lubrication running 32:1. I was wondering if the GF38 had a similar issue with the exhaust valve sticking open. The BE62 is used and will be getting it from a good...

That is my good friends plane @DB4SPD . Basically a modified J-tec Taylor-Craft. Scratch built from plans but the wing is modified fully symmetrical with ribs of an Edge 540. Power is a DLE 111. Very aerobatic, smooth and stable. Hovers and torque rolls well. Not a "free style" machine but a...

    NGH Four Cycle Engines.

I like the price he is showing too! Thanks for that. Speaking of Bull Engines.....There will be a 62 coming in to my life after the 38 but I am concerned about parts support for the Bull line. I have heard parts are null? If he has parts I'm good on that. As far as service I normally service...

    NGH Four Cycle Engines.

I think I will get the 38 from VVRC. Both the 30 and 38 are the same price. I noticed that the 38 pulses it's carb a bit different than the 30 and has a second line too. Can you tell me why or what the second line is for?

    NGH Four Cycle Engines.

I'm getting ready to put some four cycle sound on my Sig "clipped wing" Cub. The NGH 30 and 38 four cycle's will fit and I'm leaning to the bigger 38 for my Cub is a bit heavy at 16.5 pounds. I have seen mixed reviews on both of these engines but I think they should be great for the application...

Been busy working on the "shop" itself. Went to price a new front door and fainted when I saw  what the depot wanted for one like it. No kidding.....You could do a 35% plane complete with engine and servos and everything else to make it go! Minwax is my good friend.......

I would use the Iron to tack it down around the edges only and then use a heat gun to tighten along with a soft hand sock to rub it over as the heat gun was shrinking it being carful not to put direct heat on the overlapped pieces.
