Peak Models 32% Extra 330 SC

So I'm really optimistic that the DL50 and Alien Extra combo will keep me satisfied or until I reach it's expiration date :cautious:. Wish my skills would improve. This plane is extremely maneuverable and capable. The modified DL50 and canister is plenty enough but a 70 twin would be the...

Got the interior kit in from Dynamic Balsa for the Cub. Will have a few evenings of shop time with out having to include motor junk :fist_pump:. Also found the prop I was wanting originally. It's a Falcon not Xoar.

@Travis Haney Let me clear up some things......Simply put.....Engine working harder more fuel consumed. Engine working less hard less fuel consumed. My use of adjective's was poor. Sorry for that. Hope you got it running with just resetting the needles. I see a lot of guys "chase" needle...

Land hard?. I never land hard either! Just hard landings:banana-dance:. Well......I went through all my carb junk and modified the DLE60 carb to be a drop in fit on the Cub. Got the RCGF26 running again and pretty decent too! Couple of things I'm going to have to do though to make it...

You mean you "other guys" . I personally suck hard these days and don't fly much at all. lol Still FUN to get out once in a while. But the summer really sucks down here. It is real hard on the engines and airframes are lost because of poor engine performance. This year so far has not been all...

Got a couple in with my buddy. His top end overhauled DLE60 twin did great and my DL50 is really starting to perk up too :).

    DA50 help

Hey Bart. Yes you are correct about air density and tight grouped air molecules in cool dry weather and how it affects tuning. I was explaining from how hard the engine works or is made to work (loading/resistance). The bigger prop is higher load (higher resistance) and makes the engine work...

    DA50 help

The engine is going to work harder with a bigger prop. So working harder means more fuel ;) . Also know your engine works harder in warm humid conditions so again more fuel needed. Just the opposite in cool dry weather.

Since I can't get my Cub chugging at the moment I "updated" my buddies DLE60 twin to run a bit stronger. Very tempted to just throw the old DLE carb on the cub motor and see if it runs and tunes fairly decent . Think I will.......CUZ I CHEAP! lol And it's a CUB. Who cares if its overly rich and...

A bigger prop is going to load the engine a bit more. I take it your running a Vess which are higher load props any way and just increasing the diameter 1 inch will be noticed. Try putting your needles back to 1.5 turns out and re tune for the bigger prop.

Since you got the fuse on the table now is the time to add some hard points for tuned pipe/canister mounts. Not only does the engine performance really perk up but the look of a pipe or can running down the bottom of a profile says "All Business" :big-grin:.

Did get the Alien out the other day. DL50 is starting to break in well (Richening up on the low end) and I'm seeing even more power now. Definitely my "go to" 50cc now. Come to think of it.....It's my only 50cc now.....Duh :ugh:. @Bluepilot2003 sorry for your woe. I have been looking at the...

You build light and a 60 is way overkill. DA50 is more than enough. Heck....My DL50 throws a 20 pounder around. If you want to take a bit of "shake" out of the 50 just retard the timing a small amount and swing a 23x8 something. "Sweet Slumbering Suckatash!!! Batman! There be fire breathing...
