Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

Maybe this just might have to be a first plan built plane....though I think I would need some serious help with the bipe portion of it! Never have seen how all that fits up together. Though, at my pace it will take 3-4 years to complete (what say you @HRRC Flyer ? LOL)

    IMAC JTEC 2.7m Extra 300CS

Got the bottom of the fuse covered and the rudder covered. The process I stole from @ROLLERMAN for the cutting of the turtle deck covering didn't work out as well for me on the bottom. Have some 1/4" striping tape on the way. It needs some accent lines anyway. Rudder needs to be hinged and...

Where should build and assembly threads be? POLL, please vote!

I am indifferent. I really enjoy the building, but I have also learned a ton of techniques from the ARF assembly threads as well - but I am a relative noob to the airplane world so tend to be more like a dry sponge...LOL Typically, by the title of the thread, I am mostly able to determine what...

Thanks to all the build thread contributors

Yep, thanks! I have learned a ton on this site from all the build threads. Would have made mine a much more daunting task if I hadn't. Ton of fun to see how others choose to skin-the-cat.

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

I'm in! Wondering if this is any relation to Ken Krier in Ohio. He was the builder of my runabout race boats! Looking forward to it!

IMAC First Carden 124" Extra 300 Pro Build

If you are vacuum bagging you don't need to edge glue. The vacuum will pull some epoxy into the joint. Just trim your edges so the fit right and tape them together to hold them in place. Super easy! I would have died if I had to edge glue every piece on my jtec.

DX9 Centering issues due to sub-trim

Thanks @AKNick and @wfield0455 for your responses. The calibration did in fact resolve the problem. I verified on with servos plugged into the reciever. WOOOHOOOO!! :brian-banana::brian-banana::dancing-chicken::dancing-chicken: Thanks again!

DX9 Centering issues due to sub-trim

Thank you Wayne! I believe the calibration has fixed the issue. The problem is not showing up in the monitor now (it was before). I will have to wait until later tonight to verify on a model! Thank you, thank you @wfield0455 !!!

DX9 Centering issues due to sub-trim

Sub trims vary from 20-71 depending on the servo. Only using the subtrim to get the servo arms so they are perpendicular to the servo case and parallel to the hingeline. Doing this (and getting the control horn holes the same distance from the hingeline) I have no binding of the servos on the...

DX9 Centering issues due to sub-trim

Thanks! That helps. Will investigate the calibration. Edit: no flight modes set yet. Virgin new model - no copying from others. Varified no mixes, no flight modes. At the very beginning stages of the radio set up on the 35% airframe.

DX9 Centering issues due to sub-trim

Yes, on different models. No mixing involved. You can dynamically move the travel adjust and hear and watch the servos move. The monitor function also shows them to move. Most notable when you have a high level of difference in D/R, say one switch is 40% to the other of 100% and the surface...

DX9 Centering issues due to sub-trim

Edit: Update -- Problem Fixed! I will try to explain in simplest terms. I also have a request into Horizon support regarding this issue. I am noticing that on surfaces where sub-trim is used to get the servo arm in the correct orientation for geometry purposes, when changing travel adjust...
